Some say it is hard to turn, and I thought so too until I changed my paddling style.The space behind the seat is a little tight to get bulky items in, but lots of room when they get past that point.Rolls like a champ - confidence building for newer people.This same property holds true for diagonal waves, and funny water. I am really and truly glad I bought this Kayak and only wish I had bought it sooner. The Remix 69, even in the unskilled hands of a novice, handles like an F/A-18. This is the best compliment I can give LL. I didn’t need to roll it and since the water was very cold, I elected not to practice roll. It is fast, edges well, zips across eddies and most importantly to me at this stage of my experience, it is remarkably stable even though very nimble. The Remix 69 did everything LL said it would do. It is a mostly class 1 water with a couple of class 2 rapids. A week after buying it, I paddled the Lower Green River in NC. It just felt “right” as soon as I settled into the cockpit and eased into the water. While looking for the boat to help me progress I’ve have paddled LL’s three main competitor’s river runner and creek kayaks. I am a novice paddler competent in class 2 water semi-competent in class 3. It was very interesting to see how the boats are made and is worth the trip to Fletcher, NC. Employees get to take their dogs to work how cool is that? No wonder the people who work at LL are happy. Met some really nice and dedicated people.
